It is recommended that a cleanout be provided where new waste and vent piping connects with existing <br /> plumbing to facilitate required testing of the new installation. <br /> 5. Water closets in public bathrooms must have elongated bowls with open-front seats. The maximum water <br /> volume per flush of a floor-mounted water closet shall be 1.6 gallons. Water closets shall comply with <br /> American National Standards Institute A112.19.6--1990 (see Minnesota Statutes, Section 326.37, <br /> subpart 2). <br /> 6. Materials used for water service and water distribution piping must comply with the standards specified in <br /> Minnesota Rules, part 4715.0510 and part 4715.0520. Copper water distribution piping must meet ASTM <br /> Standard B 88. <br /> 7. Materials used for drain, waste, and vent systems must comply with the standards specified in Minnesota <br /> Rules, part 4715.0570 through part 4715.0600. <br /> 8. The water piping system shall be disinfected in accordance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2250. <br /> 9. The plumbing system shall be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820. <br /> NOTE(S): <br /> 1. The scope of this project consists of constructing an additional bathroom in an existing building. <br /> Installation includes a floor drain, a lavatory, and a water closet. <br /> 2. The building is served by existing municipal sewer and water services. <br /> Authorization for construction in accordance with the approved plans may be withdrawn if construction is not <br /> undertaken within a period of two years. The fact that the plans have been approved does not necessarily <br /> mean that recommendations or requirements for change will not be made at some later time when changed <br /> conditions, additional information, or advanced knowledge make improvements necessary. <br /> Approved: <br /> Corey A.
