Concept Landscaping Inc.
3153 Priest Lane,
Mound, MN 55364
City of Orono
att Lyle 3/16/96
Permit Request---Dr. Doug Olson 2601 West La Fayette, Orono
Clean-up and enlarge run-off storage area
The Olsons presently have an existing water run-off sediment pond on their property (see
sketch) that collects run-off water coming from Ann Mathews, Paul Ekholms, and Brad
Blankenships property. The water fills the sediment pond and slowly seeps into the
ground. The project was built many years ago and the drainage ditches going to the
sediment pond need to be cleaned out and the sediment pond probably drains slower now
than when it was built. However, Blankenships have a beautiful natural woods that is
continuously being flooded out due to lack of proper drainage and storage. Also, Olsons
yard gets flooded.
We propose to properly clean out the ditches, and enlarge the pond (see sketch). The
excess soils will be graded level in the yard, so there will be no soil removal from the
property and less than 100 yards of soil will be adjusted. The yard will be resodded as
necessary.
Sincerely
James H. Smith, Pres.
