Olson&Bowers at 2601 West Lafayette Road. I don't think the changes require you
to make the effort to do a full plan review;however,we thought it would be best for you to see the new
print if you wanted, prior to making any future site inspections(to avoid any confusion).
There have been some small interior changes of no major impact, but we did do a few things to affect the
house structurally that I thought you should be aware of.
1. As we talked on the telephone,we did some interior excavation to provide the owners with some
new basement area for mechanical and laundry use. That change is noted on sheet A0,as we
excavated and underpinned the new basement area.
2. We are going to replace the 5 lakeside windows in the basement recreation room, with windows
that are slightly longer, requiring a bit of earth removal,a small retaining wall, along with a little
underpinning at the affected wall. The new small retaining wall will go in an area already
considered landscaping with fabric under,so no new hardscape issues should arise with it. They
simply have short windows here, and we wanted to let them get a decent view to the lake from the
renovated room.
3. Finally,we added some space on the new second floor addition over what was originally the front
foyer. In my original plans,we were going to have a round copper roof over this area, and now it
will be a combination of the copper roof and a part of the closet above. We had the truss
manufacturer engineer the"renovations"to the trusses to allow for this,as it shows in the floor
plan on A2 and the section 1/S1.
I hope this doesn't cause you any inconvenience. We just wanted to keep you apprised of the project as it
moves along. If you haven't been out there recently, you should take a peek. It looks wonderful.
Thanks for your ongoing assistance and support.
Best Regards,
LAKE COUNTRY BUILDERS,INC. n n I N G( f,v
w e vti 7
Sid Levin
Architectural Design Department (/
' 0I
