LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DECISION Date of Decision: 10/3/2014 ®Approved ❑ Approved with conditions (include below) ❑ Denied LGU Findings and Conclusions(attach additional sheets as necessary): Renee Wixon has applied for wetland boundary&type approval for the wetlands located at 4505 West Branch Road in the city of Orono(PID 0711723210014). A wetland delineation was conducted by Svoboda Ecological Resources on May 25,2014. Two wetlands were delineated on site. Wetland 1 was delineated as a Type 3 Shallow Marsh and was dominated by cattail. Wetland 2 was delineated as a Type 1 Wet Meadow and was dominated by reed canary grass. Wetland hydrology was disturbed due to a large ditch in the wetland. MCWD staff conducted a site visit to review the wetland boundary on June 30,2014.MCWD staff requested additional transects in the northern portion of Wetland 1. MCWD staff also extended the review period for review of information requested.MCWD staff conducted another site visit on October 2,2014 after submittal of additional transect and updated datasheets. MCWD approves the wetland boundary and type as delineated in the field and documented in the delineation report and updated datasheets. This decision is valid for five years.
