MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, November 18, 2019 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 1 of 46 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Chair Jon Ressler, Commissioners Chris Bollis, Bob Erickson, Matt Gettman, Dennis Libby, Mark <br />McCutcheon, and John Thiesse. Representing Staff were Community Development Director Jeremy <br />Barnhart, City Planners Melanie Curtis and Laura Oakden. <br /> <br />Chair Ressler called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Gettman moved, Erickson seconded, to approve the Agenda for the November 18, 2019, Planning <br />Commission meeting. VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 21, 2019 <br /> <br />Gettman moved, Erickson seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono Planning Commission <br />meeting of October 21, 2019, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. LA19-000041 LAKEWEST DEVELOPMENT, 3570 IVY PLACE, SUBDIVISION TO <br />REPLAT LOT 1 AND OUTLOT A OF IVY PLACE, 6:32 P.M. - 6:36 P.M. <br /> <br />Steve Eggert, o/b/o Lakewest Development, was present. <br /> <br />Barnhart stated the applicant is proposing to plat an existing outlot and Lot 1, Block 1, all part of the <br />original plat of Ivy Place, into one buildable lot. The one lot will have frontage on Lake Minnetonka on <br />two sides. Access will be provided to the lot at the point via an Easement. The Easement will allow for <br />utility access as well. <br /> <br />Ressler asked if Staff was in support as proposed or if there was an amendment Staff was requesting <br />which was not illustrated. <br /> <br />Barnhart said Staff is not proposing or suggesting any changes to be made. The Easement would be a <br />separate document drafted by the City Attorney and signed by the property owner. <br /> <br />Mr. Steven Eggert, Lake West Department, on behalf of Rusty Kocon, said he was available for <br />questions. <br /> <br />Chair Ressler opened the public hearing at 6:34 p.m. <br /> <br />There were no public comments relating to this application. <br /> <br />Chair Ressler closed the public hearing at 6:34 p.m.
