CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> G� NO. 7 0 6 3 <br /> l�KES H O � <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br /> THE ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD <br /> FOR THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION PRIMARY ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD MARCH 3,2020 <br /> WHEREAS,the City Hall serves as an absentee ballot center for the residents of Orono; and <br /> WHEREAS, State Statute Section 203B.121 provides that an Absentee Ballot Board must be <br /> appointed by the City Council to process absentee ballots. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council that the individuals <br /> named on Exhibit A be appointed as the City of Orono Absentee Ballot Board Election Judges for the <br /> March 3, 2020 Presidential Nomination Primary Election; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: <br /> A. The Absentee Ballot Board will meet with at least two election judges of different political <br /> parties at various times as designated by the City Clerk. <br /> B. Absentee Ballot Board members shall be compensated at the same rate as an Election <br /> Judge at$10.00 per hour or an Assistant Head Election at$10.50 per hour or a Head <br /> Judge for$11.00 per hour for their services. <br /> C. The City Clerk is, with this resolution, authorized to make any substitutions or additions to <br /> the Absentee Ballot Board as deemed necessary;and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Orono City Council also appoints other individuals and all <br /> members appointed to the Hennepin County Absentee Ballot Board as authorized under Minn. Stat. <br /> 204B.21, Subd. 2, under the direction of the Election Manager to serve as members of the Orono Absentee <br /> Ballot Board. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota, at a regular meeting held January 13, <br /> 2020. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Anna Carlson, City Clerk Dennis Walsh,Mayor <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
