MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, MARCH 19, 2018 <br />6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />Another definition Staff is looking at is family. The historic family is married or related but that is not <br />necessary the case currently. <br />Landgraver noted it says blood and family, and recommended the word "or" be used rather than "and". <br />Barnhart stated as it relates to in-kind, that is used in the context of replacement or nonconforming <br />structures. The homeowner is allowed to replace what is existing and Staff tries to use the terms location, <br />height and depth to help define what can be rebuilt. <br />Barnhart noted the Planning Commission will see this item next week at the work session and then again <br />as an ordinance amendment in April. Barnhart requested the Planning Commission send him any <br />comments or suggestions they might have. <br />The Planning Commission took no formal action on this item. <br />10. UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 12, 2018, CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Barnhart reported the majority of the items on the February 12 agenda were placed on the Consent <br />Agenda and the meeting was relatively short. <br />11. PLANNING COMMISSION LIAISON FOR APRIL 9, 2018, CITY COUNCIL MEETING: <br />CHAD OLSON <br />12.
