Van <br /> Zomeren indicated that it will have to be done. She said she was surprised by the amount <br /> af references to tree preservatian in her review stating that priorities are the same as in the <br /> proposed tree preservation policy. The "teeth" for adherence to paticies will be through <br /> #he subdivision ordinances. <br /> Van�ameren reference definitzon#58 of shade trees. Van Zomeren said species and size <br /> should be indicated. Beai said subdivision#2 on gage 3 refers to it. Van Zomeren <br /> referenced the first paragraph in 4.32 where it indicates the supply is provided by the <br /> developer. She noted it could be argued that the tree preservation should make that <br /> provision. �Vhite said if the Commissioners had known these policies were in the <br /> ordinances and codes, these requirements would have been required. VVilson noted the <br /> lack of reference to what is required for fields. Van Zomeren said vegetation plans can be <br /> requested. <br /> ti'an Zomeren referenced the general policy statement regarding the removal of trees. She <br /> suggested tree location coutd be nated and the possibility af bufferinp atong the road <br /> frontage. She nated that is has probably been arbitrarily enforced in the past. New trees <br /> are to be at least 2" in diameter. Van Zomeren noted that the policy has nat been used in <br /> the past. She indicated that the Jyland Develapment which is now vacant land and <br /> recentty appraved does not have to inventory ail trees. 5he noted that this is simiiar for <br /> Saga Hill. She does not beiieve tree removal will occur here but there are parcels where it <br /> cauld happen and should be protected. <br /> 3 <br />
