Edwards, P.E. Agenda Section: Staff Report <br />Dir, Public Works/City Engineer <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this item is for the Commission to review the revised Capital Improvement <br />Plan (CIP) for 2020 and beyond. <br />2. Summary. The CIP is a planning level document that lays out future capital expenditures. The plan <br />is revised annually and submitted for approval to the City Council. The revised 2020 is attached. <br />3. Items to highlight for the Parks CIP. (Exhibit C). <br />Item <br />Estimated <br />Comments <br />Cost <br />Trail Construction along <br />$160,000 <br />Updated from $115K to $160K based on most recent Council <br />CSAH 19 (Livingston to <br />guidance. Project dependent upon partnership with Hennepin <br />Dakota) <br />County and Three Rivers Park District. <br />East Long Lake Road to <br />$134,000 <br />Was $120,000. Updated based on reduced expectation of <br />Trail <br />partner funding. <br />Summit Beach <br />$95,300 <br />Was $140,000. Reduced scope to only include parking <br />Improvements <br />paving and playground. Assumes a $15K playground grant. <br />Big Island ADA Trails, <br />$80,000 <br />Note - $80K is the minimum. City committed to $200K as of <br />Amenities, Restroom <br />28 October per grant. 5010 working on funding $120K. <br />GC Fire Pit <br />$0 <br />Was $26,885. Item removed at direction of Council on 28 <br />Oct 19. <br />Picnic Table and Shade <br />$0 <br />Was $7000. Removed based on Commission guidance at <br />Sail at Community Garden <br />October 2019 Work Session. May be replaced by a future <br />trail connection from willow Drive to Long Lake's park. <br />4. Funding. Items on the Park CIP are funded from Park Fund All items on the CIP are subject to <br />funding availability and approval by the City Council. <br />COMMISION ACTION REQUESTED <br />The Park Commission should review and provide any comments for CIP. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
