Edwards Agenda Staff Reports <br />City Engineer / Public Works Director Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action is to get a Park Commission recommendation on a name for the <br />park behind the Long Lake Fire Station. <br />2. Background. The parcel of land behind the Long Lake Fire department is owned by the City of <br />Orono. A donation garden has been located on the lot since 2011. Earlier this spring the City Council <br />directed staff and the Parks Commission to review city support to the donation garden site. Subsequent <br />staff research has revealed that the site was actually designated as a park in 2011. As a park the site <br />should have a name and be added to the list of parks maintained by the City. <br />3. Options. Some options might include. <br />a. Donation Garden Park <br />b. Fire Station Park <br />4.
