These areas
are very much appreciated for their aesthetic value by our membership& as always
Wayzata Country Club is an Audubon Sanctuary course(soon to be nationally certified).
As partners with the environment, these native areas are essential to the promotion of
natural habitat. Therefore, burning is essential to rejuvenating&managing this
environment.
We recognize our previous lack of protocol in this process &are submitting the
following plan in pursuit of a burning permit for our native landscapes.
1. Follow procedures stated on license
2. Notify surrounding neighbors 24 hours in advance as to our plan
3. Post observers around the subject area
4. Have 2 vehicles with water tanks (150 & 300 gal.) at burning site
Please advise, we are requesting a permit as soon as possible, for this process is best
performed prior to snowfall.
Respectfully Submitted,
Connie Mooridian
Head Arborist
Wayzata Country Club
