Although the MPCA manual does not list estimated water
use for this specific type of facility, the closest comparison I found was a cafeteria which estimates 2 gallons/day per
customer and 11 gallons/day per employee. You had estimated approximately 250 golfers during your peak periods.
Although it is unlikely that every golfer will use this facility, this site plan is designed to accommodate 250 customers
and 2 employees with an estimated 522 gallons per day effluent discharge. The attached soil borings show a sandy loam
soil profile with no red and gray mottles present to a depth of 6.0 feet. The percolation rates for this site average 11
minutes per inch. This site will require 154 lineal feet of trenches with 18 inches of rock beneath the pipe not to exceed a
total depth of 36 inches from original grade. This equals 463 square feet of trench bottom treatment area as required by
state code. Effluent will gravity flow from the lowest floor elevation through the septic tanks to the pump tank via a 4
inch PVC line. The pump tank will then lift the effluent to the first(highest)drop box via a 2 inch PVC line in doses of
75 to 140 gallons per cycle(no more than 4 cycles per 24 hours). As this system is located adjacent to a cart path,
measures(such as plantings or fencing)should be implemented to discourage golf carts driving over this area.It is
imperative that no compaction is allowed on the septic site before, during or after the construction. To insure this I highly
recommend a barrier fence around the septic site during the construction.
Please refer to the enclosed site plan and design sheets for additional details.
Please advise if you have any questions or concerns in regards to this site plan.
Since ely
eaVe----
Ton' lestad MPCA Cert.#1410 DRP Lic.#282
Ellestad Land Services
