The review is limited to the design of this particular project only, and does not cover the <br /> plumbing within the building. The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is <br /> based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The <br /> responsibility for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project <br /> designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. <br /> Special care should be taken to insure that the material and installation are in accordance with the provisions of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code and applicable licensing requirements. <br /> A set of the identified plans and specifications is being returned to CDR Excavating Inc. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations, including water service and building sewers,must be tested and <br /> inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. It is the responsibility of the <br /> contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry when an installation for a state <br /> contract job, licensed facility, or project in an area where there is no local administrative authority is ready for an <br /> inspection and test. To schedule inspections, contact the state plumbing standards representative for your region, <br /> or call Jim Peterson at 651/284-5889. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The use of a 4-inch high density polyethylene(HDPE)pipe complying with AWWA C906 has been <br /> proposed for the water service installation. The pipe is to be installed by directional boring. Note that <br /> AWWA Standard C906 polyethylene pipe is not an approved material listed in the Minnesota Plumbing <br /> Code,nor is directional boring an approved installation method listed in the Minnesota Plumbing Code. <br /> However,this pipe material and method may be used if approved by the city of Orono building official,Mr. <br /> Lyle Edward Oman, as an alternate material or method under Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0330. <br /> If this material and method are not approved by Mr. Oman,verify that the material used for the water <br /> service installation complies with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0510. <br /> 2. The water service installation must be disinfected in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2250. <br /> 3. The water service installation must be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820. <br /> NOTE(S): <br /> 1. The scope of this project consists of the installation of a new municipal water service line to an existing <br /> building. <br />
