Paul to minimize the sources of inflow and infiltration (water that doesn't <br />require treatment) from entering the sanitary sewer system. Upon discovery, private sewer laterals that require <br />rehabilitation or replacement will be required to be repaired as per City Code §50.08. <br />Repair Funding Example: <br />A single-family, owner -occupied home built in <br />1958, has sewer lateral defects for 64 feet. The <br />owners elect to have the sewer lined at a total <br />cost of $5,600. <br />At the completion of the repair, the owners have <br />$4,760 assessed to their taxes. This equates to a <br />monthly payment of $45,96 over 10 years. <br />The City funds the remaining $840 of the total <br />cost, and pays $5,600 directly to the contractor. <br />T Tax Assessment <br />• 85% of repair cost <br />• Term of 10 years at 3% interest <br />• Must sign an Assessment Agreement <br />City Funding <br />• 15% of repair costs <br />• Any type of I&I repair is eligible <br />• Maximum subsidy amount is $5000 <br />Assessment Deferral <br />• Must be at least 65 yearn old or <br />• Retired due to a permanent disability <br />• Limited financial resources <br />2019 <br />
