CITY OF ORONO MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: August 26, 2019 <br />TO: Mayor Walsh, City Council Members <br />Dustin Rief, City Administrator <br />FROM: Jeremy Barnhart, AICP, Community Development Director <br />RE: Marina Licensing <br />In June, the Marina Committee met and discussed establishing a licensing program for the <br />City's 5 marinas. As part of that effort, staff prepared a summary of each marinas applicable <br />regulation, attached. <br />Does the council want to initiate a marina licensing program? If so, one of the initial steps <br />would include asking each marina to confirm the summary sheets described above. Staff will <br />send the summaries to each marina, request feedback, and report back to the committee. <br />The current licensing standards are attachjed as Exhibit B. If the Council wants to review the <br />licensing process, they should so direct the committee.
