CITY OF ORONO MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: August 26, 2019 <br />TO: Mayor Walsh, City Council members <br />FROM: Jeremy Barnhart, AICP, Community Development Director <br />RE: City Property <br />In a workshop on June 24, 2019, the City Council directed staff to prepare a policy that guided <br />the Council and staff in responding the requests to acquire publically owned or controlled land. <br />The Council directed this policy to be no more than one page in length. <br />Staff has prepared a policy based on similar policies in St Louis Park and Burnsville for the <br />council's consideration. The policy establishes review standards to frame review of requests. <br />Formal adoption of a policy would occur at a future regular City Council meeting <br />Staff seeks direction as to any changes deemed appropriate. <br />Ex A Draft Policy <br />Ex B Minutes from June 24 CC wkshp <br />
