The purpose of this action item is for Council to approve the agreement with Campbell <br />Knutson to provide Legal Services to the City. <br /> <br />2. Background. The City Council adopted a resolution to establish a schedule of 5 year <br />reviews through the RFP process for professional services contracted by the City. Staff <br />reviews the document annually for any scheduled RFP’s. The civil attorney schedule is <br />for 2019 and was last published in 2005. This RFP is in accordance with the RFP <br />schedule adopted by Resolution No. 6585 adopted February 8, 2016. The City approved <br />the Request for Proposal process on August 12, 2019. <br /> <br />3. Details. The City received two proposals for consideration from Ekberg Lammers Attorneys at <br />Law and Campbell Knutson Professional Association. The Legal Services Review Committee <br />reviewed the two proposals and decided to continue utilizing Campbell Knutson for the City’s <br />Legal Services. <br /> <br />4. Funding. Legal Services fees are paid for by each department based on actual usage. The <br />proposed fee schedule is a part of the attached agreement <br /> <br />5. Staff Recommendation.
