The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with replacement of generator <br />#851. <br /> <br />2. Background. Generator #851 is beyond it useful life. This generator will actually replace 4 older <br />unreliable generators. The generator was scheduled for replacement in 2017 however at that time staff <br />could not find a suitable generator meeting the latest emissions requirements at a reasonable price. <br /> <br />3. Project Scope. Replace Generator s 851, 853, 844 and 855 with one reliable portable generator with <br />light tower meeting US EPA Tier 4 Standard. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The City received a quotes, listed below. <br /> <br />Company Cost <br />Modern Power Solutions $36,480 <br />Kriha Electric $54,004 <br /> <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Sanitary Sewer Fund. The project EOY 2019 <br />Sewer Fund Balance is $1,839,932. Gensets 851, 853, 844 and 855 will be traded in for trade in credit as <br />part of the purchase. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
