Box 66 <br /> Crystal Bay, Minnesota 55323 <br /> RE: LOREN BUTTERFIELD REQUEST, CITY OF ORONO, HENNEPIN COUNTY <br /> Dear Mr. Oman: <br /> I spoke with Mr. Loren Butterfield regarding a site in the <br /> southwest corner of Section 32 , on the south side of the Luce Line. <br /> It is my understanding that Mr. Butterfield is requesting City of <br /> Orono approval for continuation of some type of peat mining <br /> operation at this location. <br /> There are no wetlands subject to DNR water permit jurisdiction on <br /> the site, so no DNR Protected Waters Permit would be required. <br /> I also discussed the site with Martha Reger, DNR Trails & <br /> Waterways. Mr. Butterfield has a trail crossing easement from the <br /> DNR.
