The granting of the application is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a <br /> substantial property right of the applicant. <br /> Response: It is considered a hardship in our climate to not have a usable two car garage that is <br /> attached. We are requesting the ability to rebuild the garage in a manner that is usable to the <br /> homeowner. <br /> 11. The granting of the proposed variance will not in any way impair health, safety, <br /> comfort, morals, or in any other respect be contrary to the intent of the Zoning Code. <br /> Response: Granting this variance will not impair the health, safety or welfare of the community. <br /> 12. The granting of such variance will not merely serve as a convenience to the applicant, <br /> but is necessary to alleviate demonstrable difficulty. <br /> Response: These variance requests are necessary for the homeowner to rebuild a usable garage <br /> space. We feel the new footprint improves the shape and size of the garage to allow them both to <br /> park cars. It will alleviate the need to park across the street outside. <br />
