Purpose. The purpose of this council action is to gain council approval to replace sewer <br />pumps at Grinder Station 10. <br />2. Background. This year's lift station inspections have reveled Grinder Station 10's pumps need to be <br />replaced. Both existing pumps have significant wear to the impellers. <br />3. Scope. Replacement of two pumps and accessories and installation at Grinder Stations 10. <br />4. Cost. The cost to replace the 2 pumps is $ 17,000. <br />5. Funding. This equipment will be funded through the Sanitary Sewer Fund. The estimated balance at <br />the end of year 2019 is $1,839,932. There is a positive balance of $18,000 this year from our 2019 Lift <br />Station rehabilitations that will cover the expense of these pump replacements. Also Grinder Station 10 <br />is scheduled for a rehabilitation next year which would have included pump replacement. <br />6. Staff Recommendation. Staff Recommends replacement of the two pumps by Quality Flow <br />Systems. Quality Flows proposal includes KSB pumps which is common to others in our system and <br />includes installation, training and warrantee. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to accept the proposal from Quality Flow Systems Inc for the replacement of four sewer pumps <br />for $ 17,000. <br />Prepared By: SO <br />Reviewed By: <br />Approved By: -TV <br />
