Purpose. To approve a resolution formally denying the application that would allow 1,432 <br />square foot accessory structure. <br />2. Background. The Council denied the variance at their meeting on June 10, 2019 and directed <br />staff to prepare a resolution. The property is permitted to have one oversized accessory building <br />not to exceed 1,200 square feet. The existing detached building was built in 2017. The property <br />owner is requesting to add a 280 square foot addition to the existing 1,152 square foot building <br />creating a 1,432 sq.ft building. This would be 232 sq.ft over the allowed 1,200 sq.ft footprint. <br />The Council directed staff to review the accessory structure size regulations, that discussion is <br />slated for the July 22, 2019 workshop. <br />3. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends the Council adopt the resolution as drafted. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />City Council should review the approval resolution and adopt or amend. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
