Tear Downs <br />Review development standards applicable to single-family homes in Navarre. Review to <br />ensure that adequate controls are in place to ensure that new development is compatible <br />with the existing character and scale of the neighborhood, while still encouraging the <br />redevelopment of blighted properties. Such standards could include requirements for <br />floor area ratio, height, hardcover, architectural materials, landscaping, and accessory <br />structures. <br />Proactively address blighted properties through the City's code enforcement process so <br />that existing homes are well maintained. Consider revisions to the City's code <br />enforcement process or adopting fines if non-compliance is an issue. <br />Review its demolition and construction regulations. If the regulation updates require <br />addition administration and monitoring by City staff, consideration should be given to <br />increasing the demolition permit fee commensurate with the addition staffing demand. <br />Page 12 <br />
