CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> y 1 NO. <br /> ? 003 <br /> ctN <br /> kEsxos`f' <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> DENYING VARIANCES FROM <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE SECTION 78-1680, 78-1279 (1)(2) <br /> AND <br /> APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCES PURSUANT TO <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE SECTIONS 78-328, 78-128, 78-918 <br /> FILE NO. LA19-000039 <br /> WHEREAS, on June 13, 2019, Brandsetter Carroll Inc o/b/o Camp Teko, (hereinafter the <br /> "Applicants"), applied for a conditional use permit and variances from the City Code for the property <br /> addressed 645 Tonkawa Road and legally described as: <br /> Lot 12; Lot 11, except the Southeasterly 20 feet thereof, Auditor's <br /> Subdivision No. 207, Hennepin County, MN. (hereinafter the "Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono to implement a <br /> Master Plan for Camp Teko; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to <br /> Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1680 to allow hardcover on the 75' lakeshore setback <br /> in order to rebuild a shed in a new location and larger footprint; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to <br /> Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 (1)to allow a building in the 75' lakeshore setback <br /> in order to rebuild a shed in a new location and larger footprint; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to <br /> Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 (2) to allow three buildings in the bluff setback in <br /> order to build two new bunk houses and rebuild a pavilion; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a conditional <br /> use permit (CUP) to allow the applicants to intensify the current camp use with the proposed <br /> master plan improvements pursuant to section 78-328(1); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance to <br /> Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-128 to allow the expiration date of 1 year for a variance <br /> to be extended to 5 years; and <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br />
