• ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR SEPTEMBER 15, 1997 <br />( #16 Proposed Amendment of Shoreland and On -Site Sewage Treatment Ordinance - Continued) <br />Hawn thought the time frame was too long considering the public hazards. Jabbour said the time <br />frame could be revisited. <br />Stoddard suggested a 5 year time limit. He felt swimming water should be considered differently <br />from water in aquifers, which takes years to affect. <br />Lindquist moved, Schroeder seconded, to approve the proposed amendments. Vote: Ayes 4, Nays <br />2, Hawn, Stoddard, who agreed with the rationale but felt 10 years was too long a time frame. He <br />felt it should be considered differently based on surface water quality.
