MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 18, 1997 <br />( #5 - #2264 Janet C. Kiernan - Continued) <br />Schroeder moved to approve Application #2264 per Resolution No. 3761 approved in <br />1996 subject to a plan tailored to plan B as noted. Gaffron indicated he would prefer to <br />have the site redrawn prior to the application review by Council. He informed Kiernan he <br />would like all information shown on one Man with the chaniaes made. Gaffron reviewed <br />Resolution No. 3761 regarding the addition, roof revision, 3.9% hardcover in the 0 -75' <br />setback. and a slisaht increase in hardcover in the 75 -250' for a 27.6% total. <br />Schroeder asked if plan B falls into the parameters of Resolution No. 3761 without the <br />specific numbers on the plan. Gaffron said those calculations would be necessary. <br />Schroeder asked if the application can be passed on to the Council without those <br />calculations. Gaffron said the plan with calculations would be required prior to the <br />Council review. <br />Gaffron questioned whether the Planning Commission would like to review the <br />calculations prior to Council review or if this can be reviewed by Staff. <br />Hawn questioned the terrace in the 0 -75' setback. Gaffron indicated that the approval was <br />subject to other removals. <br />• Stoddard noted the past approval and present approval showed compliance with a 27.60/6 <br />hardcover limit in the 75250' setback. He said he would be satisfied with the Staff <br />reviewing the plan prior to going before the Council. <br />Schroeder moved, McMillan seconded, to approve Application #2264 for plan B option <br />which falls within the broader parameters of Resolution No. 3 76 1. The approval is subject <br />to plan B review by Staff meeting standards and conditions prior to Council review. Vote: <br />Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br />(#6) #2270 MARCIA AND KENNETH HICKEY, 4640 TONKAVIEW LANE - <br />VARIANCES AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - PUBLIC HEARING $:36- <br />9 :32 F.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were noted. <br />The Applicant was present. <br />Van Zomeren reported the application was reviewed at the July meeting. She reviewed <br />the lot and uronosed earaae. The revised elan would include a height variance as the <br />principal structure is approximately 13' and the proposed garage height is 24'. Variances <br />would be required for the garage located in front of the principal structure and for side <br />• yard encroachment. A conditional use permit would be required due to the accessory <br />structure being located on a through lot. <br />14 <br />
