ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR JULY 17,1995 <br />ROLL <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Acting Chair Candace Rowlette, Sandra Smith, Dale Lindquist, and Janice Berg. <br />Steve Peterson and Charles Schroeder were absent. The following represented the City <br />Staff: Building and Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth and Recorder Sherry Frost. <br />Mayor Callahan and Council Member Jabbour were present. Acting Chair Rowlette called <br />the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PUBLIC HEARING/PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING <br />( #1) #2025 MICHAEL PLANK, 4115/4145 WATERTOWN ROAD - VACATION <br />OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT, 7 :00 -7 :03 P.M. <br />The Certificate of Mailing and Affidavit of Publication were noted. <br />Mr. Plank was not in attendance. <br />Mabusth reported that the application is for the vacation of the drainage and utility <br />easement located on either side of the division fines of Lots 2 and 3 originally platted in <br />. 1986 as part of the Maple Place subdivision. As part of this current application, lot lines <br />have been redrawn, and the easement serves no public purpose in its current configuration. <br />New drainage and utility easements will be designated along the newly defined shared lot <br />line. <br />There were no public comments. <br />Lindquist moved, Berg seconded, to approve Application #2025 per Staff <br />recommendations. Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />ACTION ITEMS <br />(#2) #2026 NEW HORIZON CHILD CARE, 875 WAYZATA BOULEVARD - <br />VARIANCES - CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING 7 :03 -7 :13 P.M. <br />Sharon Bergen represented New Horizon Child Care. <br />This application had been tabled from the last meeting to allow applicant time to look at <br />scaling back the size of the signs and to speak with Mn/DOT concerning the entrance/exit <br />sign. It was discovered that Mn/DOT has no specific signage applicable for a daycare use <br />but volunteered to assist in locating the right -of -way upon the installation of the sign- <br />0 <br />
