MINUT3S OF A REGULAR TU 10PTING <br />PLANNING 00112,1ISSION9VILLAGE OF O MONO <br />D ,C:t MBER 16 s 1963 <br />Chaiman B.J.Hussell called the meeting to order at 7:45 <br />P.M. The following were present: U.I.Jolfe,A.K.Simonson, ,Im. <br />T.Mills,K.Turnham and D.J.Boll, <br />REZONING LOTS 1,2 & 39B1k.1,Navarre <br />Mr. Edw. Lehman requested recommendations for rezoning <br />Lots 1,2 & 39B1k.lgNavarre from residential to cokmeroial, <br />He presented a petition,stating it contained the signatures <br />of all except trio , of the owners of property in the immediate <br />area. It was pointed out that the area is presently zoned <br />commercial up to the east line of the subject lots. <br />Wolfe moved to recommend that Lots 1,2,3 and 4 be re- <br />zoned commercial,thuo carrying the zone through to Carman <br />Street. The motion was seconded by Simonson and carried. <br />SKIING AREA -y LEE PRIMUS <br />Mr. Lee Primus asked for recommendations on a special use <br />permit for a skiing area QQ of SQ of the SQ.Sec.31,T.118, <br />11923) o After considerable discussion Wolfe moved ,that the re- <br />quest be recommended,based on Qhap.33 of the Municipal Code, <br />and conditioned on 100; off-street parking,approved sanitary <br />facilities and limited advertising sigg.but allowing the sale <br />of candy,soft drinks, cigarettes and ski supplies, as well as <br />an admission charge. Further discussion resulted in a consen- <br />suo that night time activity should be alloyed, The motion <br />was seconded by Simonson and carried. <br />REZONING- OIRSPINSKI <br />The request of Mrs I ayona Cirspinski for rezoning of the <br />south portions of Lots 11 and 12 (tLe portions south of County <br />lit.ry.;, 6) to commercial was discussed. Because of the traffic <br />problems arising from U.S.012 and Co,6, and the question of <br />the relocation of U.S.12 Simonson moved that the request be <br />denied. The motion was seconded by Wolfe and carried, <br />REZONING - SJ114aY 1310ACH :113S)ORT <br />The problem of the non- conformingtspecial use continuance <br />.. of the Sandy Beach Resort, or rezoning of the property to com- <br />r,_ercial,to enable sale of the resort was discussed at length. <br />Wolfe moved that no action be taken pending conclusion of the <br />rezoning study. The motion was seconded by Simonson & carried, <br />REPORT - SANITARY SE%i'Elt <br />Village E gin.eer,y+m.T.Mills reported on prggress of the <br />work on the sanitary sewer system <br />ZONING ORDINANCE <br />It was agreed that work prepared on this study be present- <br />ed to the Village Council for their approval before submitting <br />it to Jim Hawks and the Village Attorney. <br />SPECIAL 1,1210ING <br />It was agreed that a special meeting be called for 7:30 <br />P.Is1.,Monday,January 611964 for Zoning Ordinance study, <br />There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned. <br />S.
