The Table also includes the Metropolitan Area’s age breakdown in 2010. The average age in 1990 was 35 years with the median age being slightly higher at 36 years. As of the 2000 US Census, the median age had climbed substantially to 40.7 years, as compared to 34.2 years for the Twin Cities area.
