Box 66
Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066
October 12, 1998
Northern Heating& A/C
5635 142nd Avenue
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303
Re: 125 Truffula Trail
Dear Sirs:
On August 7, 1997 this office issued mechanical permit #9765 to you for heating and air
conditioning at 125 Truffula Trail. Since the owners moved into the home, various problems with
the systems have come to light. They are as follows:
1. The air conditioning condenser was, installed under the porch with inadequate
clearance -the unit must be moved to an acceptable location.
2. Air flow to rooms is inadequate in some areas and over abundant in others- system
needs to be balanced and a report must be filed with the City.
3. The flue makes loud noises on expansion and contraction on the second floor
bedroom area - the wall must be opened to inspect for improper installation or
possibly a problem with the firestop.
As the installer, the City feels you are responsible for resolving these issues. A deadline of October
26, 1998 has been established. If this deadline is not met, the City may initiate legal action.
If you have questions or if you have a problem meeting this deadline, please feel free to contact me
at my office.
Sincerely,
L e Oman
Building Official
LO/ch
cc: Mike&Lorie Arne
Bruce L.
