The windows in the half story portion of the home are the cause of this. During the
zoning review process my discussions with the staff at Sharratt I felt that there was an understanding of the City's calculation
for defined height as with the 2nd story. The 2nd story meets code and is acceptable. The overall height of the home must be
reduced 4'or the'/2 story windows removed or drastically lowered. Please submit revised plans meeting the 30 foot height
limit and the building permit review will continue.
Please contact me should you have any questions.
Melanie
Melanie Curtis
Planning &Zoning Coordinator
City of Orono
2750 Kelley Parkway
Orono, MN 55356
Direct Dial: 952.249.4627
Fax: 952.249.4616
Planning &Zoning Office 952.249.4620
Email: mcurtis_.ci.orono.mn.us
Website: www.ci.orono.mn.us
2/8/2008
