REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> DATE: October 9, 1997 <br /> ITEM NO.: <br /> Department Approval: Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br /> Name Ron Moorse /�/� City Administrator's Report <br /> Title City Administrator /� <br /> Item Description: George Johnson, 879 Brown Road North - North Long Lake/Long Lake <br /> Country Club Addition Sewer Connection - Resolution <br /> As part of the City's most recent MLTSA Amendment�which included the ten sewer "hot spots"�the <br /> Metropolitan Council approved up to 50 additiona�undefined sewer units for use by the City�as <br /> individual connection requests from properties outside of the MUSA but adjacent to sewer lines <br /> occur. The requirements regarding the use of these 50 undefined units are that the property is <br /> adjacent to a sewer line, that it is an existing residence, and that it has a failing or non-conforming <br /> septic system. <br /> George Johnson has requested that his property located at 879 Brown Road North be provided with <br /> sewer as part of the North Long Lake/Long Lake Country Club Sewer Project. His property meets <br /> all of the requirements set out for the use of the 50 undefined units. The Council has previously <br /> approved the provision of sewer to the Johnson property, subject to the property being assessed for <br /> the improvement in the amount of$13,950.00. A resolution is attached reflecting this action of the <br /> Council. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Motion to adopt the attached resolution approving the provision of sewer to the George Johnson <br /> property at 879 Brown Road North, subject to the property being assessed for the sewer service in <br /> the amount of$13,950.00. <br /> lsv <br /> IOHNSON.NE\I <br />
