Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain confirmation from the Mayor and <br />City Council Members of the 2018 Open Book Meeting date and time proposal from the <br />Hennepin County Assessor. <br />2. Background. Minnesota Statute 274.01, Subdivision 1, requires that the County Assessor <br />set the date and time for our local board of appeal and equalization meeting. Orono has <br />opted for an Open Book meeting in place of a Local Board of Appeal and Equalization <br />meeting. Hennepin County is proposing the meeting take place on Wednesday, April 18, <br />2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Orono Council <br />Chambers located at 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356. <br />3. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends approval of the date, time and location <br />proposed for the 2018 Open Book Meeting. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the date, time and location for the 2018 Open Book Meeting as proposed. <br />Exhibit <br />Exhibit A.
