NATHAN EKHOFF, RLA <br />Landscape Architect I Urban Designer <br />PROFESSIONAL PROFILE <br />Nate Ekhoff is a landscape architect with over nine years of <br />professional experience. His design experience covers a wide <br />variety of project types including park and recreation design, site <br />planning, streetscape planning and design, plaza design and green <br />infrastructure design. Nate has a passion to work with clients to <br />develop meaningful and dynamic gathering spaces. Nate's ability to <br />produce a variety of graphics, including 3D renderings, sections, <br />and illustrative plans makes it easy for stakeholders to understand <br />the proposed plans. <br />i■ LOUCKS <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />City Center Streetscape The City of New Hope was looking to develop a new town center and <br />New Hope, MN community gathering space. Nate worked with city staff and stakeholders to <br />develop a vision for the City Center. The area includes their city hall, fire <br />station, public park space and performance area, city pool, existing <br />residential and commercial uses along with a new HyVee grocery store. The <br />goal for the streetscape was to create a unique and memorable area in the <br />city. Phase 1 was built in 2015 and includes a convertible street, space for a <br />farmers market, multiple seating areas, decorative paving, arbor structures <br />signage and landscaping. <br />City Campus Master Plan Loucks worked with Andover to develop a master plan for their City Campus. <br />Andover, MN The plan focused on enhancing the Public Works Facility, Community Center <br />and developing a large central park with performance and gathering spaces. <br />The project included an elaborate public process in which we worked with <br />several stakeholders to listen and document their needs and vision for the <br />space. The preferred plan incorporated all the program elements identified <br />by the stakeholders and illustrated their vision for the future City Campus. <br />Renewing Old West Main <br />Old West Main contains some of Red Wing's iconic buildings and spaces <br />Framework Plan* <br />including Pottery Place and the Pottery District This area also has great <br />Red Wing, MN <br />connections to the river and regional trails which results in attracting many <br />tourist annually. Nate worked with stakeholders and the City to develop a <br />vision for the future. The plan identified redevelopment opportunities, <br />pedestrian enhancements, streetscape improvements, parking needs and <br />place making elements including a walking history tour of the area. <br />Warehouse District <br />Nate provided analysis and concepts for street improvements for the <br />Heritage Street Plan, <br />Heritage Street master plan which provides consistent guidance on historic <br />Minneapolis, MN <br />street rehabilitation and restoration, ADA accessibility issues, and <br />public/private improvements.
