<br />FURNISH & INSTALL NEW FURNACE F-1 & F-2 WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNITS C-1 & C-2 & ASSOCIATED
<br />DUCTWORK.
<br />FURNISH & INSTALL EF -3, EF -4 & EF -5 & ASSOCIATED DUCTWORK TO SERVE THE RESTROOMS.
<br />FURNISH ONLY ELECTRIC HEATERS EH -1 THRU EH -5.
<br />EXISTING BUILDING
<br />THE EXISTING 105,000 BTU/H FURNACE SERVING THE PRIVATE QUARTERS TO REMAIN.
<br />REPLACE THE EXISTING FURNACE SERVING THE DINING HALL WITH A NEW MAKE UP AIR UNIT (MUA-1). MUA-1
<br />WILL SERVE THE DINING HALL/KITCHEN ON THE MAIN LEVEL, THE ACTIVITY ROOM & STORAGE AREAS ON THE
<br />LOWER LEVEL & PROVIDE MAKE UP AIR TO THE KITCHEN ON THE MAIN LEVEL. UTILIZE THE EXISTING DUCTWORK
<br />TO THE EXTENT PRACTICAL. RUN NEW GAS PIPING TO MUA-1. PROVIDE TRANSFER GRILLES BETWEEN THE DINING
<br />HALL & THE KITCHEN. MUA-1 TO DELIVER 100% OUTSIDE AIR DURING OCCUPIED HOURS & 0% OUTSIDE AIR
<br />DURING UNOCCUPIED HOURS.
<br />REPLACE THE EXISTING KITCHEN HOOD WITH NEW HOOD H-2, REPLACE THE EXISTING KITCHEN HOOD EXHAUST FAN
<br />WITH EF -2. REPLACE THE EXISTING GALVANIZED GREASE DUCT WITH WELDED 16 GAUGE BLACK IRON,
<br />FURNISH & INSTALL NEW DISHWASHER HOOD (H-1) & EXHAUST FAN (EF -1) & NEW ALUMINUM EXHAUST
<br />DUCTWORK.
<br />FURNISH & INSTALL NEW COMBUSTION AIR DUCTWORK TO THE EXISTING WATER HEATERS & EXISTING FURNACE.
<br />B> INSTALL DUCTWORK PER SMACNA, UMC & LOCAL CODES.
<br />C> KITCHEN HOOD EXHAUST DUCTWORK FROM TYPE I HOODS TO BE 16 GAUGE WELDED BLACK IRON DUCT.
<br />PROVIDE CLEAN OUTS AS REQUIRED. DISHWASHER EXHAUST DUCTWORK TO BE ALUMINUM.
<br />D> PROVIDE VOLUME DAMPERS AT DUCT TAKE OFFS TO DIFFUSERS. SIZE DUCT RUN OUTS TO DIFFUSERS TO
<br />MATCH NECK SIZE FOR CFM INDICATED IN DIFFUSER SCHEDULE.
<br />E> VENTILATION AIR REQUIREMENTS ARE BASED ON ASHRAE 62-1999 AS FOLLOWS:
<br />ANTICIPATED DINING ROOM OCCUPANCY: 88 PEOPLE, ANTICIPATED DINING ROOM OCCUPANCY DURATION: LESS
<br />THAN THREE HOURS, THE OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENTS PER PERSON PER TABLE 2 OF ASHRAE 62-1999 FOR
<br />DINING AREAS:20 CFM. OUTSIDE AIR REQUIRED CAN BE REDUCED BY HALF IF THE OCCUPANCY DURATION IS LESS
<br />THAN THREE HOURS, THEREFORE THE OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENTS ARE 88 PEOPLE x 20 CFM/PERSON x 1/2 =
<br />880 CFM. THE OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENT WILL BE SATISFIED BY MUA-1 WHICH WILL INTRODUCE 2,700 CFM OF
<br />OUTSIDE AIR TO BALANCE THE KITCHEN EXHAUST REQUIREMENTS. THE DINING AREA WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH A
<br />MINIMUM OF 880 CFM TO SATISFY THE OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENTS FOR THE OCCUPANTS.
