completed under wet conditions according to the precipitation worksheet for wetland delineations
(Appendix Q.
FIELD DELINEATION RESULTS
Based on the data reviewed and fieldwork conducted, one (1) area was examined for wetland
characteristics within the project area. One (1) wetland was ultimately delineated and is further
described within this report. The delineated wetland is identified as Wetland A, which includes sample
points 1-4.
Field data forms for each sample point are located in Appendix B. Refer to Figure 5 (Appendix B) for a
map of the project boundary, wetland basins, sampling transects, and area. Photos of the wetland basin
within the project area are included in Appendix C.
OTHER AQUATIC RESOURCES
The prominent aquatic resource adjacent to the project boundary is Minnetonka-Upper Lake, located
530 feet south and west of the project boundary and across Kelly Avenue. The lake is mapped as a DNR
PWI as well as a NWI Shallow Open Water Community Lake (L2UBH).
WETLAND SUMMARY
Table 2. The wetland
continues to the northwest outside the project area, and stops to the south and southwest when it
reaches the project boundary near the edge of Kelly Road. The wetland is surrounded by a thin
forested wetland edge along the northern side, but is dominated by cattails. At the time of the
delineation, a majority of the wetland was inundated, with the edges of it being saturated at or near
the surface. While delineating the wetland, previous wetland boundary flags were observed, and the
current boundary of Wetland A followed the previous delineation boundary closely.
2525 Shadywood Road Page 6
