Purpose To appoint Danielle Amira to the position of Interim Finance Director <br />2. Background. Finance Director Ron Olson has been on medical leave since mid-May and it is <br />uncertain when he will be able to return to his position. The finance department handles many important <br />financial transactions including the banking activities and the investments which require the signature of <br />the Finance Director. In order to allow the city to continue to handle all financial matters on a timely <br />basis it is important that we have and active Interim Finance Director appointed who can execute the <br />necessary documents. Therefore it is requested that the City Council consider the appointment of <br />Danielle Amira to the position of Interim Finance Director effective immediately and continuing until the <br />Finance Director is able to return to work. <br />3. Staff Recommendation. I recommend that Council approve the appointment of Danielle Amira to <br />the position of Interim Finance Director. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the appointment of Danielle Amira to the position of Interim Finance Director <br />effective July 10, 2017 and continuing until the return of the Finance Director. <br />Prepared By: Nz <br />Reviewed By: 14Z <br />Approved By: NZ <br />
