The top candidate is Anna <br />Carlson. Ms. Carlson has been employed with the City of Montrose as Utility Clerk for the last 4 <br />years and previously worked in retail sales. Anna has a bachelor's degree from UW Superior <br />and recently completed the Minnesota Municipal Clerk Certification. She has the combination <br />of organizational skills, technical training and a customer service focus, necessary to excel in the <br />position. <br />It is recommended that Anna be appointed to the position of City Clerk at the annual salary of <br />$57,012 (starting step of grade 10), effective February 6th, 2017. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Consider a motion to appoint Anna Carlson to the position of City Clerk. <br />
