Council information <br />Item 20 <br />June 12, 2017 <br />M E M 0 to the City of Orono <br />June 9, 2017 <br />This memo is from residents, business owners and concerned citizens of Orono and <br />Long Lake. <br />We are distressed about the concrete and asphalt recycling that is going on right down <br />the middle of the main street. This mess is literally on the threshold of our businesses. <br />We understand that Lake West Development has an alternate site for concrete and <br />asphalt recycling and equipment and material storage just a short distance down the <br />road in a vacant lot that is isolated from businesses and residents. <br />We urge you to move this disruptive activity away from our front doors. We ask that <br />you support Lake West's application for the Interim Use Permit and move this recycling <br />operation out of downtown. <br />Respectfully, <br />Concerned citizens of Orono and Long Lake <br />(Signees follow) <br />
