Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to approve a I -year extension/renewal of the preliminary plat and general concept plan approval granted in Resolution No. 6655 on July 25, 2016. 2. Application Deadline. Rcvd: 5/15/17 Complete: 5/15/17 60 -Day Review Period Expires: 7/14/17 3. Background. Preliminary Plat and General Concept Plan approval for a 27 -lot Residential Planned Unit Development (RPUD) plat at 3245 Wayzata Boulevard ("Eisinger Meadows") was granted via Resolution No. 6655 on July 25, 2016. Due to market conditions and other reasons, applicant Lakewest LLC is planning to temporarily delay development of the property but wishes to maintain the ability to proceed with the development at a future date in accordance with the prior approvals. Lakewest has requested a one-year extension of the effective period of preliminary plat and general concept plan approval, which per Orono ordinances runs for one year from the date of approval. The extension would be to July 25, 2018. 4. Staff Recommendation. Staff believes it would be appropriate to grant a one-year extension of the effective period of general concept plan and preliminary plat approval per the attached resolution.
