AGENDAITEM <br />Item No.: 9 Date: April 24, 2017 <br />Item Description: Appointment to Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee <br />Presenter: Jeremy Barnhart, Community Agenda Consent Agenda <br />Development Director Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to add a member to the committee to review and <br />recommend changes to the comprehensive plan. <br />2. Background. At the Council meeting on March 13, 2017, the Council appointed 13 members to serve <br />as a project advisory committee (PAC). One of the members has not been responding to repeated staff <br />phone calls, and staff recommends replacement. A resident, John Morast, responding to the notification <br />on the website, sent a letter of interest. Mr. Morast has an engineering background and enjoys the quality <br />of life of Orono. <br />3. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends the Council appoint John Morast to the PAC, replacing <br />Troy Swanson. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to appoint John Morast to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Project Advisory Committee, removing <br />Troy Swanson. <br />Exhibits <br />Exhibit A.
