Edwards Agenda Consent Agenda <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is for council to accept the resignation of Maintenance <br />Worker Justin Hirsch and inform the council of efforts to fill a maintenance worker vacancy within <br />Public Works. <br />2. Background. Maintenance Worker Justin Hirsch resigned his position effective April 14 th <br />2017. The Public Works Department has six full time maintenance worker positions. The <br />maintenance worker positions are critical to meet current service needs and are essential to City <br />operations. <br />3. Recruitment. The selection process for the vacant position will involve advertising the <br />position, application screening, an interview panel and reference checking. Upon completion of <br />the process a candidate will be presented to the council for consideration for appointment. <br />4. Timeline.
