MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday March 13,2017 7:00 o'clock p.m. ROLL CALL The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Richard Crosby, 11, Wendy Dankey, Aaron Printup, and Victoria Seals. Representing Staff were City Administrator Doug Reeder, Community Development Director Jeremy Barnhart, Finance Director Ron Olson, Public Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, Senior Planner Michael Gaffron, City Planner Melanie Curtis, City Attorney Soren Mattick, Consulting City Engineer David Martini, and Recorder Jackie Young. Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 1. CONSENT AGENDA Item Nos. 5, 9, 19, 20, and 21 were added to the Consent Agenda. Printup moved, Seals seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES *2. CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 27,2017 Printup moved, Seals seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of February 27, 2017, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. *3. PUBLIC COMMENTS None PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER REPORT 4. FOX STREET REHABILITATION — APPROVAL TO SOLICIT BIDS Consulting City Engineer Martini noted the City has been discussing improvement of Fox Street for a number of years. In August of last year, a feasibility study was prepared for Fox Street consisting of an analysis of the existing conditions, topographic surveying of the project area, and development of possible courses of action to repair, replace, and improve the street. In September of 2016, the City Council decided to move forward with the design for the section of pavement between Old Crystal Bay Road and Brown Road. Page I of 32
