Due to the periodically saturated <br />soils, a pressurized mound system with 6 inches of rock will need to be installed to treat the septic effluent, <br />The bottom of the treatment area must be located at least 3' above the saturated soils. This system is <br />designed with 6 inches of rock <br />The existing septic system does not conform to the state code chapter 7080. But is not an imminent threat. <br />The existing well needs to be abandoned. it must be relocated at least fifty feet from the proposed 5 bedroom <br />rock bed and fifty feet from the new septic tanks. See drawing. <br />Al l neighboring wel is are greater than 100' from proposed treatment areas. <br />The soils at a depth of 12" have a percolation rate averaging 18.8 MPI. <br />The existing septic tanks must be abandoned and two 1300 gallon septic tanks need to be installed. <br />All new tanks need to be insulated if there is less than two feet of cover over the top of the tanks. Clean outs <br />must be installed on the end of the laterals for maintenance. <br />A 1300 gallon pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent to the treatment area. The power <br />supply and switches must be located outside the manhole and pumping chamber in a weatherproof enclosure. <br />A warning device must be installed with light and sound devices; this is in case of a pump failure. A flow <br />measurement device must be installed.
