MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Tuesday, January 17, 2017 <br />6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />Davis stated Shoreline (Early Childhood Development Center), a tenant in the building since 1970, shares <br />the facility with Good Shepherd and that there is a need to have two separate refrigerator and freezer units <br />as well as space for both groups to do food preparation. Davis stated by having some storage in the lower <br />level, they would be able to eliminate a shed on the property and clean up some things that sit outside <br />currently. <br />Acting Chair Lemke opened the public hearing at 7:08 p.m. <br />There were no public comments regarding this application. <br />Acting Chair Lemke closed the public hearing at 7:08 p.m. <br />Schoenzeit commented the addition makes sense. <br />Landgraver stated it is a good improvement. <br />Landgraver moved, Schoenzeit seconded, to recommend approval of Application No. 17-3888, <br />DJ Kranz Company, Inc., on behalf of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3745 Shoreline Drive, <br />granting of a conditional use permit for the construction of an 18' x 24' two-story addition, in <br />accordance with Staff recommendations.
