Kranz Co. o/b/o Good Shepherd Lutheran <br />Church, 3745 Shoreline Dr. - Conditional Use Permit - Resolution <br />Zoning District: LR -1C, One Family Lakeshore Residential District (0.5 acres/ 100' width) <br />Property Area/Width: 4.81 acres/328' defined width <br />Application Summary: The applicant is requesting conditional use permit (CUP) approval for <br />expansion of the existing church building in order to construct an 18'x24' two-story addition for <br />storage, office and kitchen facilities. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation: The Planning Commission reviewed this application <br />and held a public hearing at its January 17 meeting, and voted 4-0 to recommend approval of the <br />CUP as proposed, subject to applicant confirming with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District <br />(MCWD) whether any permits or stormwater management improvements are required, and <br />subject to provision of an as -built survey of the entire property being submitted upon completion <br />of the project. <br />The applicants are aware of the fire suppression sprinkler requirements affecting this project and <br />are working with the building official to determine the appropriate method for compliance. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends approval per the Planning Commission <br />recommendation.
