CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING A VACANCY <br />IN THE OFFICE OF COUNCIL MEMBER <br />OF THE CITY OF ORONO <br />WHEREAS, Orono Council Member Dennis Walsh was elected to the Office of Mayor <br />during the 2016 General Election and will assume such office on January 9, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, Council Member Dennis Walsh was elected during the 2014 General <br />Election to serve as Council Member from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, since Council Member Dennis Walsh will assume the duties of the Office <br />of Mayor prior to the end of his term as Council Member, a vacancy has been created on the <br />Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, effective on January 9, 2017. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare <br />that a vacancy now exists for the Office of Council Member for the City of Orono, Minnesota. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held <br />on January 9, 2017. <br />ATTEST <br />Diane Tiegs, City Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
