At the November work session, the Council directed staff to <br />address this inconsistency. This item was deemed a housekeeping measure. Clear, discernable <br />house numbers are important to facilitate deliveries and emergency response. <br />The ordinance does not amend a land use provision, therefore a public hearing or review by the <br />Planning Commission is not required. <br />In all draft ordinances, proposed new language is underlined, and language proposed to be <br />deleted is struel(threug-k. <br />Planning Staff Recommendation <br />Staff has prepared two ordinances for consideration. Option A modifies only the sections <br />necessary to achieve the original goal, which was to remove the inconsistency between the two <br />ordinances. Option B deletes all language pertaining to house numbering standards already <br />included in the building code. <br />Action Requested: <br />Approve, by motion, an ordinance, either option A or B, as drafted. <br />List of Exhibits: <br />Exhibit A.
