Purpose. The applicant is requesting variances for average lakeshore setback and hardcover that <br />exceeds 25% <br />2. 15.99 Deadline. The applicant submitted a complete application on June 6, 2018. The 60 -day review <br />period expires August 3rd, 2018. <br />3. Background/ Summary. The applicant and homeowner are requesting to construct a 10' x 14' deck <br />on the south side of the home which abuts a neighboring unimproved right of way. The proposed deck <br />would be built above an existing patio. The plans show the stairs to the deck as the only new proposed <br />hardcover. This deck would encroach in the average lakeshore setback, which is established by the <br />distance of the house to the north from the lake. The neighbors to the north have provided support in <br />writing of the proposed project. <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On June 181 the Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing and discussed the overall project and gave a unanimous vote for approval for the proposed <br />variances. <br />5. Public Comment. No public comment was received. <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
