CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 6835 <br />A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING A PRELL IINARY PLAT FOR SOUTHWAYS <br />FILE NO. 18-3998 <br />WHEREAS, on December 13, 2017, James R. and Mary Joann Jundt, husband and <br />wife ("Applicant[s]"), applied for a preliminary plat for the property legally described in Exhibit A, <br />(hereinafter the "Property"); <br />WHEREAS, on February 20th, after published and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at which <br />time all persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to <br />speak thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 20th, 2018, the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the preliminary plat; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 26, 2018, the City Council reviewed the application and <br />the recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota hereby approves the requested preliminary plat as described above based on one or <br />more of the following findings of fact concerning the Property: <br />FINDINGS OF FACT: <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #18-3998. The analysis contained within <br />staff memos and the exhibits attached to the aforesaid memos, all minutes from the above <br />mentioned meetings, and any and all other materials distributed at these meetings are <br />hereby incorporated by reference. <br />2. The Property is located in the LR -1A Zoning District. <br />3. The property is guided for Low Density Residential in the 2030 Community Management <br />Plan. <br />4. The Property contains 13.78 acres in area and has a defined lot width of over 1000 feet on <br />the west side ad over 600 feet on the east side. <br />
